The U.S. International Trade Commission yesterday unanimously voted to expedite its review of the antidumping duty order on steel nails from the People’s Republic of China.  This “sunset” review covering the five-year span of 2008 to 2013 will determine whether maintaining the order is warranted. The ITC voted to conduct this procedure without briefing or a hearing based on inadequate submissions by those opposing continuation of the order.  The matter will instead summarily proceed based on the adequate submissions of the domestic industry represented by PKR.  An ITC vote on the expedited sunset review is expected later this year.
