Sophia Lin represents clients in trade litigation and related regulatory matters. Sophia also provides board counseling and general counsel services to a non-profit organization.
Prior to joining Picard Kentz & Rowe, Sophia was a Legal and Policy Coordinator and also served as the Acting Legal and Policy Director at the International Corporate Accountability Roundtable, a coalition of labor, human rights, and environmental organizations on corporate accountability. As the Legal and Policy Coordinator, Sophia developed and managed the organization’s international trade and investment program, which examined policy and enforcement issues of the U.S. Generalized System of Preferences, sanctions, and import controls. She also worked on corporate accountability and reporting concerning forced labor and other serious labor violations in the global supply chains. She spoke and presented her work in congressional briefings and at various national and international conferences, including those organized by the American Bar Association, International Association of Prosecutors, and the United Nations.
Previously, she served as a Legal Advisor at a trade consulting firm, conducting research and congressional outreach on issues related to trade, labor, and corporate social responsibility. She also served as a consultant analyst and fellow for Freedom House.
Sophia earned her J.D. cum laude from American University Washington College of Law, where she was a senior staffer for the International Law Review. She holds a B.A. from National Taiwan University.
She is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
