Trade Litigation

Practice Area

We represent American producers in complex trade remedy litigation to address unfair import competition.

At PKR, we believe that U.S. workers and communities prosper when this country’s manufacturing, agriculture, fishing, and mining sectors are flourishing. U.S. companies cannot produce goods when the U.S. market is dominated by foreign producers who are heavily subsidized by their governments or selling products at an unfairly low price in the U.S. market. The PKR team is committed to helping American industries and workers harmed by these unfair trade practices level the playing field. We represent clients in antidumping and countervailing duty proceedings and other complex trade litigation before the U.S. Department of Commerce and the U.S. International Trade Commission, as well as the U.S. Court of International Trade, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, the World Trade Organization, and NAFTA and USMCA dispute arbitration panels.

With decades of public and private sector experience, we understand that successful cases depend on telling our clients’ stories. To ensure that those stories remain at the forefront, we consult closely with our clients throughout the course of the litigation. Our team has successfully obtained trade relief for a number of industries. In fiscal year 2020, the cases PKR prosecuted accounted for 63% of the total import value of all imports subject to antidumping and countervailing duty orders, and 57.6% of all duties deposited on such imports.
